Smarty pants

Liam learned all 26 letter names before his 2nd birthday.  He wasn't talking to communicate and I chalked it up to one of the few benefits of autism (obsessive interests, in this case for something academic).  I never expected a repeat with Ben.  I was shocked when Ben started counting.  Shortly after he figured that out, he started focusing on our Fridge Phonics.  He also became obsessed with the show "Super Why" and phonic sounds.

This video shows how well he is doing.  He doesn't quite know all 26 letters.  He calls V a Y because they look similar and often calls J a U.  Sometimes he subsitiutes phonic sound for letter name, but he definitely knows the idea.  The way he says L is so cute as he rolls his tongue all around.
