Liam was a bit uncertain about the blue Star Wars birthday cupcake. He examined it first, then tasted it, then started eating it with a fork. All was going well until he sneezed and got blue icing and chocolate cake everywhere. He didn't like the feel or taste of icing, so he wiped much of it on his shirt, the table, his chair, etc.
Afterwards, he ran around in just his shorts, playing in an empty box while virtually ignoring his birthday presents.
Overall, it was a much better reaction than he had to cake last year.
Then again, we also didn't sing to him this year, which also helped as loud singing scares him.
It was a good, but messy, 2nd birthday.
