2012 Iditarod Ceremonial Start

Last weekend was the ceremonial start of the 2012 Iditarod.  We decided to watch from the same location as last year.  We were excited as it was warmer this year than the negativee tempatrures we encountered last year.  It was quite snowy this year, and snow dumped on us the whole time we were there.  We also did not think about snow depth and had to fight through  snow to get to a viewing location.  We kept sinking to our crotch but the snow was even deeper than that.

I was hoping that Ben would enjoy it more this year, but he was just as miserable as last year.

A Mom's Club friend showed up and her 7 year old daughter was finally able to put Ben in a good mood.  I LOVE that smile.
